Nobody wants to do this job alone!

The reality is that as floral designers, most of us do this job on our own. It’s challenging, it’s daunting, and it’s unexpected. There is no guide to pricing and sourcing, no perfect method to communicating or interacting with clients, and no right way to design and create. And it can be extremely lonely and isolating. I’ve experienced that myself both working in the US and traveling to design florals around the world. We all just need some advice and a sounding board sometimes.

It wasn’t too long ago that I realized that I was just as passionate about helping others walking through the details of this job as I am getting my hands dirty designing flowers. Throughout the years, I’ve had my fair share of challenges, victories, and adventures (one day I’ll fill a book with all of the stories of hauling flowers up the sides of cliffs and driving giant trucks down impossibly narrow streets). I have had email after email in my inbox asking for tips, resources, and advice on how to navigate the insanity (let’s be honest - it is insanity) of being a florist, whether that be starting a business from scratch or designing for events in other countries. That’s when I realized how important it is to have a resource.
